At the initiative of the Tajik National University’s board on December 18, 2024 was held a scientific and theoretical conference devoted to the presentation of the book “Electrodynamics” by Professor Solihzoda Davlat Kuvvat in the process of implementing the “Twenty Years of Study and Development of natural, exact and mathematical subjects in the field of science and education (2020, 2040)”. The development of exact and technical sciences and the introduction of scientific achievements in production are the basis for rapid industrialization, as well as an indicator and expression of the high level of the national economy.Announcement of “Twenty years of Study and Development of natural, exact and mathematical subjects in the field of science and education (years). 2020-2040)” by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the president of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahman is a serious step towards the expansion of natural, exact and mathematical sciences, especially the role of physics in the progress of all social, economic and political spheres of the modern world is highly appreciated.Physical discoveries have made modern society completely different from the society of the last century. Research in the field of electromagnetism led to the emergence of telephones, and later mobile phones, discoveries in thermodynamics led to the creation of cars, the development of electronics led to the emergence of computers.In general, the contribution of physics to the progress of all sectors of the national economy is unique, and one of its promoters in the country is the Faculty of Physics of the National University of Tajikistan. It is worth noting that based on the instructions and directions of the Great Leader of the Nation, the Governmental Plan was drawn up, and we are making efforts to implement it.One of the best professors of the Faculty of Physics, Tajik National University who made a huge contribution to the execution of the Twenty-Year Educational Program and the educational policy of the Great Leader of the Nation, is Professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics Solihzoda Davlat Kuvat. Solihzoda Davlat Kuvat (15.01.1956, d. Hamadoni) graduated from TNU (1978), physicist, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (1987), associate Professor (2002), doctor of physical and mathematical sciences (2015), professor (2016). He began his work as an assistant at the Department of Theoretical Physics and promoted to the dean of the faculty, director of the research institute at this university.He is the Chairman of the Dissertation Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. His scientific works are devoted to the study of the theory of processes of stimulated scattering of electromagnetic waves in plasma. Member of the Dissertation Council for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations at St. Petersburg State University, the National University of Kazakhstan named after al-Faroabi.Ustod Solihzoda Davlat was awarded the State Medal “For Merit” (2017) and the laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of teaching natural, physics and mathematics sciences in 2023 and the laureate of the international award “United Star” in 2023 in the field of science and education. In connection with, the book “Electrodynamics” by Professor Solihzoda Davlat Kuvvat was published in the process of realizing the “Twenty Years of Studies and Development of natural, exact and mathematical subjects in the field of science and education (2020, 2040)”. Electrodynamics is one of the constituents of theoretical physics and is associated with the study of field theory, the properties of electrical conductivity of material media and the propagation of electromagnetic waves, which play a very important role in nature according to the curriculum. The book contains detailed information about Maxwell’s equations, the properties of electrical conductivity of metals, dielectrics and gases, the propagation of electromagnetic waves in material media.It should be noted that in the textbook, the proliferation of electromagnetic waves and their diffusion in condensed media are studied with an extensive analysis of vector and tensor algebra.The textbook, in accordance with the modern requirements, lists the basic information about the concepts of electrodynamics. The textbook was published in the state language for the first time in the last 30 years and, according to the decision of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, was recommended for publication on June 25, 2024. The textbook is recommended for students, masters and researchers of higher educational institutions of technical and natural processes in accordance with the educational program.
