Academic Council of the Faculty of Physics

The Academic Council of the Faculty of Physics consists of 29 members, including 6 Doctors of Science (Professors) and 11 Candidates of Science. The composition of the Faculty Academic Council is approved by the Academic Council of Tajik National University.

The work plan of the Faculty Academic Council is approved by the Academic Council of Tajik National University. Prior to this, the plan is discussed at the faculty level and approved by the Faculty Academic Council. The Chairman of the Council is the Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Kodirzoda Z.A.

The Faculty Academic Council approves the work plans of the faculty, the Methodological Council, the Council of Academic Advisors, and the Women’s Council. At the Council meetings, issues related to the admission of undergraduate students, master’s students, and PhD candidates are discussed, and their work plans and academic supervisors are approved.

Twice a year, issues related to the use of the state language in the educational process, as well as strategies to combat corruption and extremism, are considered. A working commission twice a year submits for discussion and approval by the Academic Council the results of inspections of the state of the educational process and academic and educational activities at one of the faculty departments.

The Deputy Deans for Academic and Research Affairs report at Academic Council meetings on the implementation of instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, stated in his speech dedicated to Knowledge Day.

The Deputy Dean for Educational and Upbringing Affairs informs the members of the Academic Council twice a year about the living conditions and academic achievements of students admitted under the Presidential quota of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the Academic Council of the Faculty of Physics, reports of PhD candidates are approved, candidates for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor are nominated, and the results of the university-wide scientific conference dedicated to Knowledge Day are reviewed.
